Founding partners: David L. Peters and David P. Gdovin

Diamond Visionics was founded by partners David L. Peters and David P. Gdovin, highly skilled and innovative individuals who represent a formidable knowledge base in the research, analysis and design of visual technologies. We are ready to apply this technology across a broad range of needs, from training and simulation to medical and entertainment applications.

Our co-founders have a total of 25 U.S. patents in this highly technical field and hold advanced degrees in physics and applied mathematics, with undergraduate degrees in electronics, mechanical engineering, mathematics and physics.

Our technical staff has been the cornerstone of virtually all of the major visual developments in the modern simulation industry. Our management staff has extensive business development, marketing, technical and executive management experience with a major simulation and training company.

Our technical and management staff members have worked as a team on many successful proposals and programs over the past 30 years.

Awards and Recognition

In 2000, Diamond Visionics received the Small Business Association's prestigious Tibbetts Award in a ceremony at the White House. The Tibbetts Award is made annually to small businesses that are judged to exemplify the very best in Small Business Innovation Research achievement. In addition to this achievement, Diamond Visionics became the first company to win a Tibbetts Award for its collaboration with STRICOM, now known as the U.S. Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). The previous year, Diamond Visionics won the Army's coveted SBIR Phase II Quality Award for its project, "Low Cost Alternatives to the CCTT Commander's Popped Hatch." This project was named "Best of Class" from more than 500 nominations submitted, and was awarded for its excellence in originality, Army relevance and commercialization potential. Diamond Visionics was cited by Lt. Governor Mary O. Donohue as an example of New York's private sector job growth exceeding the national average.
