IG-Independent, PC-Based
Dynamic Terrain.

The Dynamic Terrain (DT) is a software framework that can be integrated with existing simulation systems. It is scene-graph and hardware independent. Our product offers the following features:

  • Visualization
        The DT modifies the scene-
        graph polygons at runtime to
        match terrain modifications.
  • Modification
        Craters, tracks, tires, blades, buckets and
        footprints using a realistic soil model.
  • Distribution
        Protocol-neutral, allowing for
        interoperability via TCP/IP, DIS, HLA
        and others.
  • Efficiency
        Minimal resource requirements. Can be
        co-hosted on existing IG hardware.
  • Database Format Independent
        Works with many existing databases
        including OpenFlight, SEDRIS transmittals, CGF databases, and others.

Fixed Eyepoint Database Builder

A 2 1/2-dimensional process/tool to develop databases directly from photographs, the databases are scene-graph and hardware independent. Diamond Visionics' Fixed Eyepoint Database Builder offers the following features:

        compared to traditional 3D modeling.

        Objective result derived directly from photographs.
        True geo-specific content with no artistic license.
  • Highly accurate
        Integrated with ground truth data for superior coordinate
        system validation.
  • Depth-encoded
        The database has depth per pixel for turnkey support of
        occulting, fog and IG coordinate system integration.
  • Highly optimized
        Minimal texture memory and terrain polygons allow for
        hardware budget to be used for dynamic modeling.
  • IG-independent
        The database will integrate with any runtime visual
        and utilize the current sky model, TOD lighting,
        shadows, weather, etc.
