GenesisRTX provides a high fidelity sensor simulation with a plug-in software package known as GenesisSN. GenesisSN utilizes JRM Technology's SigSimRT and SenSimRT engines to provide a per-pixel physics based sensor simulation based on validated material properties. Infrared (IR) featuring both Mid-Wave and Long-Wave, night vision (NVG) and electro-optical (EO) sensors can simulated with adjustable passbands in the 0.2 - 25.0 µm spectrum. SigSimRT calculates the full continuous diurnal cycle to ensure proper crossover based on environmental conditions, and eliminates the need for database reloading for different times of day or sensor types.
All sensor signatures include high fidelity modeling of the thermal transmission through the atmosphere from emissive and reflective surfaces. Because signature calculations are done on a per-pixel basis, materially encoded textures can support very detailed hot spots such as engines, treads, wheels and exhaust. Using sensor-encoded versions of the same source data used by the visible-spectrum visualization, GenesisSN provides total correlation between the out-the-window view and the sensor view.
